From Space... (part 2)

After Google Maps was released I, along with thousands of other people, have found all kinds of interesting landmarks, geographical formations, oddities (the White House with a blank roof) and more. Google has made sightseeing an armchair activity!

Here is a rather extensive list of some views from space. Feel free to add more via the comments link at the bottom or by e-mailing me at ewen dot blog at gmail dot com and I'll add them to the list as they come in.

One that I can't seem to find is a view from space of the Ghost Ships, which seem to be blacked out in the satellite images of the location. Any help would be much appreciated.

Google's foray into maps puts MapQuest and others to shame!

Those of you who are paranoid of Big Brother take note, if images of this quality are freely avaiable on the internet to everyone, one can safely assume that this is the worst quality available and that they ARE watching YOU, especially when taking into account that the CIA helped fund the satellite mapping technology. (Yahoo!)
